Welcome to SnapSpend (“the App”). These Terms of Use — which also constitute the App's End User License Agreement (EULA) (the “Terms”) — form an agreement between you and the App's developer (“we”, “us”) governing your download, installation, and use of the App. Please read them carefully. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
These Terms apply together with our Privacy Policy. For how personal information is collected, used, and shared (including the third-party data processing involved in AI features), please see the Privacy Policy.
1. License Grant
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable, limited license to download and use the App on any Apple-branded device that you own or control, as permitted by the Apple Usage Rules, solely for your personal, non-commercial bookkeeping and personal-finance purposes.
This license is granted in accordance with the “Licensed Application End User License Agreement” in Apple's App Store Terms of Service. In the event of a conflict, that agreement controls with respect to the scope of the license.
2. Accounts and Sign-In
The App's core bookkeeping features can be used locally without signing in. Network features — collaborative ledgers, the AI assistant, and a cross-device account — require registration or sign-in. You may sign in with Apple, with WeChat, or with an email and password.
- You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity carried out under your account.
- You agree that the information you provide is truthful and accurate.
- Contact us promptly if you believe your account has been used without authorization.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the App lawfully and not to:
- upload, post, or transmit content that violates any law or infringes the rights of others;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code of the App, except as expressly permitted by law;
- interfere with or disrupt the App or its servers and networks, or circumvent usage limits or security measures;
- use the App for any unlawful purpose, or impersonate others or abuse the collaboration and invite features.
Content you upload, such as images and nicknames, may be moderated as required by law; non-compliant content may be blocked or refused. We may suspend or terminate some or all services to you for serious or repeated violations of these Terms.
4. Subscriptions and Auto-Renewal
The App offers a “Pro” membership as an auto-renewable subscription, available monthly or yearly. A subscription unlocks premium features such as collaborative ledgers, advanced charts, unlimited ledgers, and personalization. The exact title, length, and price are those shown on the purchase screen (and in the App Store).
a. Payment
Payment is charged to your Apple Account upon confirmation of purchase. If a free trial is offered and you do not cancel before it ends, it will automatically convert to a paid subscription billed at the selected interval.
b. Auto-renewal
The subscription automatically renews unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the price of the selected subscription.
c. Managing and canceling
You can manage or turn off auto-renewal at any time in Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions on your device. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period, and you keep access until then. Except where required by applicable law or Apple policy, fees for the current paid period are generally non-refundable.
d. Refunds
Subscriptions are processed through Apple's App Store, and refund requests are handled by Apple under its policies. You can request a refund at Apple's “Report a Problem” page (reportaproblem.apple.com).
Deleting your account does not automatically cancel or refund a subscription. To stop future charges, cancel in your App Store subscription settings first.
5. AI Features
The App offers an AI bookkeeping assistant (conversational and voice bookkeeping, receipt/screenshot recognition, and spending analysis). When you use it, your relevant input (chat text, transcribed speech, and images you provide) and a necessary snapshot of your local ledger information are forwarded through our servers to a third-party large-model provider (Alibaba Cloud Computing Co., Ltd.) for processing. We disclose this and ask for your consent in-app before the first use.
AI output may be inaccurate or incomplete and is provided for reference only. AI-suggested entries are written to your ledgers only after you confirm them, so please review before saving. You may choose not to use the AI features.
6. Your Data and Content
The records, images, and other content you create in the App belong to you. Ledgers that are not shared are stored only on your device by default and can sync across your devices through your iCloud account. You are responsible for backing up your data. To the extent necessary to provide network features (collaboration, sync, AI, cloud storage), you grant us a license to process the relevant content.
7. Intellectual Property
The App and its interface, icons, code, and text (excluding your user data) are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by law. Except for the license expressly granted in these Terms, you may not copy, modify, distribute, or otherwise exploit them without permission.
8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The App is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for your particular purpose. The App is a bookkeeping and personal-finance tool; any information, statistics, or AI suggestions it provides do not constitute professional financial, investment, tax, or legal advice.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages (including loss of data) arising from your use of or inability to use the App. Where applicable law does not allow certain exclusions, our liability is limited to the minimum extent permitted by law.
9. Term and Termination
You may stop using and uninstall the App at any time, or delete your account in-app (deletion has a grace period; see the in-app notice). If you breach these Terms, we may suspend or terminate your license. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.
10. Regarding Apple
These Terms are between you and us, not with Apple, and Apple is not responsible for the App. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them as such. We, not Apple, are responsible for providing maintenance and support for the App. If the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price (if any). Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement governs the handling of product liability, legal compliance, and third-party intellectual-property claims.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Updates are posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. For material changes, we will provide notice by appropriate means. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the mainland of the People's Republic of China (excluding conflict-of-laws rules), without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have under the laws of your place of residence. Disputes should first be resolved amicably; failing that, they may be submitted to a court of competent jurisdiction.
